This past Saturday, I wanted to do something fun and special instead of just spending my day off running errands and working at home (like I do on most days off). So I grabbed my mom and we headed 15 minutes out of town to a local petting zoo and corn maze!
Between the pumpkin patch and corn maze, I couldn’t think of a better backdrop for a style post!
*Pony who tried to grab my skirt not included*
I’m *in love* with this outfit! And when you learn where I got the pieces, you may just fall in love with it too. I included the prices as well because I’m always a nosy person when it comes to fashion posts and want to know all the details!
I’ve been needing a new cardigan for a while now and when I stumbled on this one on Zulily, I jumped on it. I didn’t expect it to be so long, definitely a boyfriend cardigan in my book, but I don’t mind it that it is long. And oh-my-lordy it is so soft.
Speaking of Zulily, have any of you lovely people ever tried it? Because I’ve only recently found out how freaking ah-mazing it is! The items can sometimes take a couple (or 3) weeks to get to you, but when they come I am always so in love that I don’t care.
But if an item you need is on a time schedule, keep that in mind. Planning ahead is always my way of doing things! As my coworker would say, I’m a Virgo to a T.
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted a pair of Hunter rain boots. I don’t know why and I can’t even pinpoint when the infatuation started (possibly back in my Saddle Club days) but when my 27th birthday was coming up, I decided to treat myself big time.
Seriously, if I could wear rain boots all the time and it would be socially acceptable, I would. Now the only problem is that I really want a red pair too….
And no, those smudges in the sky are not coming from your computer screen. Don’t you just love finding out you had a smudge on your lens the whole time? Please note the *intense* sarcasm.
What I Wore:
Cardigan: Zenana Outfitters, bought on Zulily, $18
T-shirt: Apt. 9, bought at Kohl’s $17.99
Skirt: Persun, faux sued, bought on Amazon, $17.99
Boots: Hunter, original style, $98
As someone who grew up with very little money, I’ve always been pretty good at finding deals on hot items of clothing. Even now that I’m in my late twenties, and have a great paying job, I still scoff at price tags on the daily.
You will never see this girl forking over $30 for a shirt or skirt. Hell, probably not even for a dress unless I love it *that* much!
