Writing

NaNoWriMo Update

Guys. I can’t even begin to describe how this feels but I did. I wrote 50,000 words in 30 days.

Well, to be more accurate I wrote 50,874 words in 19 days. *insert big eye emoji here*

I don’t even know how I did it, really. I just wrote a story that I wanted to tell and had characters that just wouldn’t shut up.

I got to tell you that there is nothing as euphoric as watching that little word count bar get fuller and fuller until BOOM. You just wrote a novel. Or at least the skeleton of a novel, as I’ve been saying. I want to bulk it up by at least another 20k in editing but that’s beside the point.

I’ve wanted to write a book for as long as I can remember. Who knew that all it was going to take was a deadline and thousands of other people writing along with me.

Never give up on your dreams, kids. They can happen with a little (or a lot) of work and determination. Never ever ever EVER give up.
